Dorothy Simien

I am Dorothy,

A full-time student at Southern Illinois University with one Master degree in Health Administration and currently studying for a second one in Health Informatics; over kill, maybe, but I only needed two more classes to finish. I have aspirations to become a novelist, motivational speaker and CEO of a healthcare staffing agency. I am married with two adult children and one beautiful granddaughter.

I live in Memphis and enjoy the night life here. In my spare time, I love to travel, read great books, spend quality time with my family. I am an avid concert attendee; I cannot breathe without music. Decorating and entertaining is a passion of mine, so I have a vlog coming soon.

Running On Legacy is a gift to me. You see, I never thought I would be on social media at all, it simply did not appeal to me. But life and opportunity created a new path. Little did I know, my daughter and I would seek master’s degrees and plan our career paths together. Life is interesting, as I run on. I have met other family members, friends, and strangers who intentionally create legacy and those who stumble into it. Legacy Runners are running on to see what the end will be, and I am here to motivate, encourage and inspire you and tell their stories in hopes that you will begin your own legacy or reach back and grab the torch of one that was passed on.
